You are paying for quality, but sometimes trendy items are better purchased on the cheap.
Have a lovely weekend!

Weekend Update

This weekend was so much fun. We had our annual Balloon Races, which is only the biggest event in our town! Pat Green played on Sunday - and that is totally a big deal for this small town gal.

I try to enjoy events like this but with 2 little ones, under 3, sometimes these weekends can be quite hectic and tiresome. Do any of you agree? Between diaper bags, bottles, naptimes, temper tantrums, I am straight wore out by the end of the day! They say cherish these moments, and I do my best, but I think it's ok to feel a little overwhelmed at times.

Here are a few photos below that I ripped off of my friends' facebook pages...

I fell of the exercise/health wagon and ate carnie food all weekend. What's carnie food? Oh, funnel cakes, chicken on a stick, onion blossoms, praline fried bisquits. Yep, it's all fried yummy goodness!

It's naptime!

Pray for me, these next two weeks are going to be pretty cray cray!! Two birthday parties in 6 days, this mama is going to be tired :) I can't wait to post pics from baby girl's first birthday, we have worked so hard!

The Great Handbag Search

I have ALWAYS wanted the Speedy. When my husband offered to buy it for me for our anniversary, I just couldn't do it. Now with 2 kids, the fact that you have to carry it on your forearm/wrist area is just so impractical. I need a purse for everyday. The one I currently carry is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM, which is the size of a large diaper bag. I want something I can carry to work and outside of work.
So began my search.

I also thought I wanted the Speedy 30, but the Speedy 35 is now the more "trendy" of the two IMO.
Also, the fact that everyone and their mama has a Louis now kind of made it less appealing.

So then, I thought I wanted a Tory Burch. I go back and forth on whether or not I like a big label on something. Do I or don't I like this? Big Louis Vuitton monograms all over the bag, a big Tory Burch symbol in the middle of the bag, literally I change my mind on this daily.

So, I decided maybe I should just get this practical, black, classic bag.
Marc by Marc Jacobs, Too Hot Too Handle Hobo. It still has the label, just not so big.

The bag arrived two weeks ago and I just don't love it. I didn't think about the fact that it only has one strap so you have to take it completely off your shoulder to get anything out of it. Mama's: this is a must in my book. So, I sadly sent this baby back.

I used a 25% off that I had this morning and ordered this.

The Rebecca Minkoff Cupid Satchel.
It gets excellent reviews, has no label, black and gold classic look with a little bit of edge, and 2 shoulder straps! I hope I love it as much as I think I will.

I would love to hear your opinions on the great labels debate. And by no means am I saying that I will never order anything with a label!

Fall Decor DIY-Oh, How Pinteresting....

I did a little DIY yesterday that was SO SIMPLE. I am usually so lazy about holiday decorating, but I decided I could even conquer this little project.
Of course, I saw the inspirational pictures on Pinterest.

Supplies needed:
Pumpkins
About 1/2 yard of tulle per pumpkin
Rubber bands (or anything that will secure the tulle)
Ribbon for decorating

That's it!

Enjoy!

Do you have any other simple holiday decor projects?

Weekend Update

Hello loves, this is how I really feel today....
Pinned Image
But sadly, I am working.

This weekend was nothing short of a small nightmare. The fam and I packed up on Friday, with my sinus headace in tow, and headed two hours away to a family wedding. In less than 24 hours, one screaming 2 hour car ride, and an equally eventful morning spent at the after hours clinic, we were loaded up and headed back home for another lovely 2 hours of screaming.
Baby girl just started daycare 2 weeks ago so naturally she has contracted some type of "disease"....possibly fifhs.
I was diagnosed with a sinus infection, when the weather changes, I get one. They are debilitating for me. My husband says that most people can function with one, but I cannot at all.
Tired mama right here!

Anyway, did you have fun at my pity party? I sure did.

While laying in bed over the weekend, I did take advantage of the Bloomingdales' Friends and Family sale.

And a little Target work shopping, but more on that when those packages arrive :)

Also did a little party prep for the BIG party in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to share all my DIY details.

How was your weekend?
